PRE CAUTION!! Pardon me for the gross photos. (really really very gross and the ugliest teeth in the world)
A month ago, finally I've decided to visit dental for consultation for metal braces to put on before my wedding. Okay, it's so last min thing because our wedding planned to be end of this month, and I like assume it must be done fast. Lol
I went to a neighborhood dental at Dental Paramount and had my first x-ray and teeth mould. From the x-ray, Dr Wong said that i having some gum infection, so i need to refer to specialist Dr Chua at Q&M dental group.
Dr chua examined my x-ray and said that i have gum problem but there's 2 possibilities. Firstly, unhygienic. Secondly, my bottom teeth is infront of my upper teeth, causes them friction with one another. So, Dr Chua mentioned that in order to verify what causes this, and i need a quick fix on my teeth, he will put braces starting on my upper teeth to examine and trying to minimize the percentage of tooth extraction.
I was on rubberband as a separator (in blue) for metal ring for about 2weeks. The feeling is really sucks, its like the whole lot of my tooth are decay. All i can have is only congee, but it get better 4-5days. I can only have my hard food like corn flakes like 1weeks plus.
After 2weeks, i went to visit my dental again. He will be there fortnightly.
He placed a plastic thing in my mouth and i'm ready for braces. The ugliest side of me. lol But lucky the light is bright enough to cover the ugliest teeth in the world.
When i saw myself in the mirror, i was like "Wa!! so ugly sia." the wired so crooked.
Hope this post bring you some info on getting braces and will update my part II soon.
FYI, Dental Paramount braces at $3800
Q&M dental group at $4000 (exclude GST, retainer, tooth extraction)
Everytime i visit the dental, i have to pay additional $8.50 for sterilizer and disposable (exclude GST) plus $100 deposit.

ReplyDeleteIt's not awful, but your teeth does need some fixing. It’s good to know you’re doing something about that. While the progress may be long and expensive, I think it will be worth it in the end. Straightening your teeth will not only improve your smile; it will also boost your confidence in doing so, knowing that you’re sporting one that’s worth showing off. Good luck with your braces journey!
